Lewis J. Altenhof Prize

During my eighth semester at Carnegie Mellon, I was honored to be nominated for and win the School of Architecture’s Fourth-Year Design Award and the accompanying Altenhof Scholarship. Students were nominated based on academic merit and design talent. Nominees organized one 4′ x 8′ board, representing their architectural careers, both academic and professional thus far. I won the Lewis J. Altenhof Scholarship along with two fellow students.  The Altenhof family generously donated $3500 to allow me to continue my studies and pursuit of academic and aesthetic excellence, as well as my extracurricular hobby of building furniture. For the competition, I turned a previous project of mine, the Greensburg Digital Media Center, into a playable videogame with the help of my friend and colleague Sun Moon Hwang.
